ITAP Showcase - Interoperate between Zeiss and SMT machines via Profibus and Modbus

ITAP which is also known as Industrial Transformation ASIA-PACIFIC is one of Singapore’s largest I4.0 event. When events like this happens, we often get requests to support interfacing different brands of Machines from various vendors. This year, we helped Zeiss and SMT in interfacing their machines using HMS X-Gateways and communicator between the Zeiss and a SMT NX Machine.

The result is a complete automated picker from Zeiss and a CNC Machine from SMT that communicates with each other in real-time via Profibus DP. If you are keen, head on down to the SMT booth to find out more. Additionally, HMS will also be in the event so lookout for them if you are keen!
